I’ve waited for months for this announcement. In fact, last February I was part of a focus group that looked at various prototypes for the new medium bag. At that time two options were presented, and I fell in love with one of them! Let me introduce you to Demi.

Demi is bigger than the Classic size bag and smaller than the Big Bag. It’s softer and unstructured and sports a more slouchy look. There will be six Demi shells when the product is available on September 1. Also there are several other shells coming in about 10 days, including two Classic shells, two Big Bag shells and a Mini shell. I’ve been told that a new Hope shell for the Classic, Big Bag and Mini will also be released in red.

Just when you think that Miche Bag has thought of everything, they introduce two wallets! And they’re great looking, versatile, and practical too! This one (to the right) is a hard wallet or clutch. The slinky strap hides inside when you just need a wallet, and it’s there to rest on your shoulder when you want a clutch. The exterior is a shiny faux crocodile-like pattern – pretty enough to use as an compact evening bag. Inside there are plenty of pockets and credit card slots to keep you organized.

But my personal favorite is the Bronze Soft Wallet. It has a magnet closure (in keeping with the Miche magnets, of course) and unfolds to reveal credit card slots, a good-sized, zipper compartment and a couple of places for currency and coins. It’s roomy but not bulky and easily fits in the classic bag.

How can it be September already? The summer has blown past us – just a few weeks more. In Colorado there’s a chill in the air in the mornings and evenings already. Typically the Labor Day weekend marks a significant Fall feel. It’s time to bring out those sweaters, and get ready for our first snow – usually the last week of September. I don’t know about you, but I’m not quite ready for that. My flower garden is in full bloom!
